Chile and Peru

We flew into  Chile's capital Santiago and then headed south, mainly by bus, until we reached Castro on the island of Chiloe, stopping in many interesting towns en route. We stayed in Castro for a couple of weeks while we explored that region before heading north once again. Eventually we crossed the border into Peru near the town of Tacna.

Once in Peru we headed for Arequipa, making it our base for further exploration of the region before heading to Lake Titicaca, Puno and the Uros Islands. Our next destination was Macchu Picchu and the surrounding region before we eventually headed to Lima the capital.
